Usage
Treponema pallidum causes Syphilis, a sexually transmitted disease which presents in clinical stages termed as Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Syphilis. This test is specific for Treponema pallidum and does not test other spirochetes.This test is not recommended for general screening purposes for Syphilis. It should not be used to evaluate response to therapy.
