Specimen
5 g (3 g min.) Stool in a leak-proof screw capped container. Ship refrigerated. DO NOT FREEZE. Do not use matchbox or absorbant material. Outstation samples not accepted.
Usage
Presence of reducing substances in stool indicates that carbohydrates are not being absorbed properly. A low stool pH also indicates the same. High stool pH is seen in case of inflammation or on antibiotics.
