Usage
Pregnancy Associated Plasma Protein–A (PAPP-A) is secreted by placenta and levels elevate with gestational age. It is also expressed by a variety of tissues, but at much lower levels. Unstable or ruptured coronary artery plaques, but not stable plaques also express PAPP-A. This test is used for First Trimester Prenatal Screening.
