Usage
This assay is used for the laboratory diagnosis of Mumps virus infection. Absence of detectable IgG antibodies suggests lack of specific immune response to immunization and no previous exposure to the virus. Detection of IgM antibodies supports a clinical diagnosis of recent / acute phase infection with the virus.
