Usage
HDL cholesterol is referred to as the "Good Cholesterol". This test is used to assess the risk of Coronary artery disease (CAD) and diagnosis of various lipoproteinemias. It is inversely related to the risk of CAD. For every 1 mg/dL decrease in HDL risk of CAD increases by 2–3%.
