Usage

Entamoeba histolytica is a parasitic protozoan that can infect the digestive tract and occasionally other tissues. Antibody IgG is useful in differentiating Amoebiasis from other causes of liver cysts and pancreatic infection. This is the most sensitive and specific test for Invasive amoebiasis. The test indicates current or previous infection. This test is less sensitive in non-invasive disease.
